Elise - Standing Around

So... our little 3 1/2 month old bundle of joy seems to be taking after her big brother.  She watches him run, jump and play all day and seems anxious to join in the fun!  She is still an amazingly content and happy baby.

We also visited the park where Koen thought it was fun to hide from the camera behind mommy's shoulder

Mr Danger

Here are a few pictures of our sweet, quiet little boy :).  He is always up for a new challenge and likes to push his boundaries... even in the air.  He's also becoming quite the little "skateboarder".  He likes to do jumping and flip tricks, ollies and kick-outs.  We even video record his tricks so he can watch them and then try new things.  Daddy is very proud :)

The "Zoo"

Today we visited the Lehigh Valley Zoo (http://www.lvzoo.org).  Koen was all eyes and ears.  He even skipped his nap to be sure not to miss anything :)  Elise slept through the entire visit.

We got tired of just looking and wanted to get up close to the turtles.
And we yelled at some goats...

The best part of any rainstorm is the puddles
Posing for pictures
Which way should we go next?
Very cool place for a random bench!  There were elk and buffalo down over the hill.
We did a stream crossing in the jeep.  Don't be too impressed.  The stream bed was paved, but it was fun to get the tires wet :)

Local scenery that kinda reminds me of the entrance to Muir Woods in California

Another cool bench that overlooks the preserve on the way home

4th of July

We took the kids to Skippack 4th of July parade with our friends Kevin, Stacey and Gavin.  They all seemed to LOVE the parade.  Koen and Gavin really got into it with some dancing, candy grabbing, and flag waving!  DON'T MISS THE VIDEOS BELOW!!!

My very patriotic family posed for some pictures after the parade.  They wanted to show off their red white and blue.

Elise got so excited by watching Koen run after candy and dance to the music that she decided it was time to start practicing for next year :)

Koen Holds Elise

Koen was sooooo excited to hold his little sister for the first time. He was very careful and gentle with her. You can see he was real nervous too, and watched me for feedback on how he was doing... which was a great job!

He then started to get more comfortable and thought she should wave to the camera.
Elise made some squeaks and yawned which fascinated Koen for a while. Then he decided she needed to hear a long story and starting talking to her. I think he managed about 3 full sentences of jibber jabber.... I'm sure he was giving her some important big brother advice.
