Koen Holds Elise

Koen was sooooo excited to hold his little sister for the first time. He was very careful and gentle with her. You can see he was real nervous too, and watched me for feedback on how he was doing... which was a great job!

He then started to get more comfortable and thought she should wave to the camera.
Elise made some squeaks and yawned which fascinated Koen for a while. Then he decided she needed to hear a long story and starting talking to her. I think he managed about 3 full sentences of jibber jabber.... I'm sure he was giving her some important big brother advice.

Goofy Koen

Our little boy is growing up so fast. He likes to goof around, play jokes on us and has his own ideas about fashion. He is also totally interested in cameras and has taken several pictures with his disposable camera. Should be interesting to see how those turn out!

Koen and Elise

Elise likes to lounge on our bed, or wherever we put her. She is soooo content and happy! Koen loves his new little sister. He likes to give her kisses, give her "five" and play ball with her.
This is their first photo shoot together. As you can see neither one likes to keep their eyes open :)

Cutting it Close!

These are some shots of what we were up to during the morning of June 3rd, 2008... just before Julianna made "the call" and decided to come home... and have a baby 2 hours later!!! We took some weekly "belly pictures", then I stayed home in the morning to have carpet installed in the basement... they finished just in time!

Hello Elise!!!

It's a Girl!!!

Elise Corinne Graff was born June 3, 2008 at 4:17pm. She is 7 pounds and 19 inches long. Elise and Julianna are both doing very well after a speedy delivery (only 2 hours!!!). More to come after I get some sleep and a little more time to download pics, etc. See you all soon!
